Unity in Diversity and Sustainable Development - Themes of the Quest in Zakarpattya

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted in September 2015 as part of the 70th UN General Assembly session in New York. What are they? How to reach them? How to inform the public about them? Who has the power to bring them to life?

You will find answers to these questions when you take part in our quest. We want to improve awareness of sustainable development and to do this we need to engage more people. The emphasis is on the student youth, who are the vanguard of this project. We invite other stakeholders to participate in the quest as well.

Since Zakarpattya is a multi-ethnic region, the quest will articulate the fact that we are united, that we have no causes for controversies. We can unite around a goal, despite the heterogeneity of our culture, language and ethnicity.

The quest will be held in Uzhhorod on June 6, 2016 at the initiative of the Resource Center for Sustainable Development at the Uzhhorod National University.

One needs to form a team of three creative persons and help us to promote our region as a one which is open to change and has a real potential to implement the concept of sustainable development. Let’s create a new standard together!

Deadline for registration for participation: 12:00 on June 3, 2016.
